Cutlery Care

All our stainless steel cutlery are dishwasher safe. This makes them easy to clean.

So that you can enjoy your cutlery for a long time, we would like to give you a few more care instructions:

  • Rinse your cutlery briefly under running water after use. This will prevent food residues from remaining on your cutlery for a long time. Some foods are aggressive to stainless steel and can cause pitting. These include vinegar, salt, mustard, mayonnaise and more.
  • Always place your cutlery in the cutlery basket with the handle facing down.
  • Dose the detergent for your dishwasher according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Avoid washing cutlery alongside aluminum or copper items.
  • Avoid dishwashing detergents that contain lemon scent, bleach, chlorides or anti-lime agents.
  • Open the dishwasher when the program is finished.
  • Dry the cutlery with a dish towel to avoid water spots.
  • Cleaning by hand is always gentler than in the dishwasher.
  • Avoid washing your cutlery together with non-stainless items. The rust from these items could transfer to the cutlery (flash rust).

PVD(COLORED) CUTLERY

To ensure that the PVD coating retains its beautiful and even shine for a long time, we recommend hand washing.

POLISHING CUTLERY

Sometimes water spots appear when cutlery is washed in the dishwasher. Rust from other kitchen utensils or pots and pans may even stick to your cutlery.

Needless to say, this does not look very nice. With a simple step, you can make your cutlery shine again:

WATER STAINS

Hold the cutlery under warm water and then wipe it with a soft towel.

FLASH RUST

Use a conventional steel polish. Put some of the polish on a soft towel and rub the rust stain with light pressure until it disappears.

Rinse the polish under running water.
